2996437538-2 Apply for this job now Job Description SAAB is seeking a Government Programs Manager to lead complex U.S. government and defense programs within our manufacturing operations. In this role, you will manage program scope, schedule, and budget, ensure strict compliance with federal regulations, and serve as primary interface to government customers and prime contractors. You will coordinate cross-functional engineering, production, and supply chain teams, drive risk and issue resolution, support proposals and bids, and identify growth opportunities. S. government programs across scope, schedule, cost, and quality targets Serve as primary point of contact for government customers, primes, and key stakeholders Ensure full compliance with federal regulations, contract terms, and internal governance Coordinate cross-functional teams in engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and finance to meet deliverables Develop and manage program budgets, forecasts, and performance metrics Identify, assess, and mitigate program risks and issues, driving timely resolution Support proposal development, pricing, and negotiations for new and follow-on contracts Prepare and deliver program reviews, reports, and status updates to internal and external stakeholders Drive continuous improvement in program execution, processes, and customer satisfaction Align program objectives with Saab's strategic, mission-driven goals in defense and security Required Skills Government program management Federal contracting (FAR/DFARS) knowledge Defense acquisition lifecycle Budgeting and cost control Risk management Stakeholder and customer management Contract negotiation and compliance Schedule and milestone management Data analysis and reporting MS Project or similar PM tools
