Job Description

NexSource Solutions is seeking an experienced and highly organized Director of Contracts to oversee the management of all current and future company contracts. This position will take ownership of the complete contract lifecycle, including contract review, negotiation, execution, tracking, renewals, amendments, and termination. The Contract Manager will serve as the central point of contact for contract activity across the organization and work closely with leadership, Procurement, Finance, Operations, vendors, customers, and legal counsel when appropriate. The ideal candidate is a strong negotiator who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable taking ownership of a large and growing portfolio of agreements. Key Responsibilities Maintain ownership and oversight of all current and future company contracts Manage contracts throughout their full lifecycle from initial review and negotiation through execution, renewal, amendment, or termination Review and negotiate pricing, terms, service requirements, renewal provisions, termination language, and other key business terms Lead contract negotiations with vendors, suppliers, service providers, customers, and other business partners Maintain a centralized and accurate contract database and document repository Track contract effective dates, expiration dates, automatic renewals, notice periods, pricing changes, and other important deadlines Proactively notify leadership of upcoming renewals, expirations, and contractual obligations Evaluate existing agreements for opportunities to renegotiate pricing, improve terms, consolidate services, or reduce unnecessary costs Review new agreements and identify financial, operational, or contractual risks requiring additional review Coordinate with legal counsel when agreements contain non-standard terms or require legal review Ensure required internal approvals are completed before contracts are executed Manage contract amendments, extensions, renewals, and terminations Maintain accurate records of contract negotiations, approvals, executed agreements, and supporting documentation Partner with Procurement and Operations to monitor vendor performance against contractual pricing and service expectations Assist leadership with contract-related reporting, financial analysis, and strategic decision-making Develop and maintain consistent processes for contract requests, review, approval, execution, and recordkeeping Qualifications Previous experience in contract management, procurement, vendor management, legal operations, business administration, or a related field Demonstrated experience reviewing and negotiating business contracts Strong negotiation and communication skills Strong understanding of contract terms, pricing structures, renewals, termination provisions, and contractual obligations Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to manage multiple contracts, negotiations, and deadlines simultaneously Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to communicate contract terms and potential risks clearly to leadership and other team members Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects from beginning to completion Experience with contract management software or contract tracking systems preferred Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and related business applications Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Procurement, Legal Studies, or a related field preferred; relevant professional experience may be considered in place of a degree What Success Looks Like The person will provide NexSource Solutions with clear visibility and control over its entire contract portfolio. Leadership should have confidence that contracts are properly documented, deadlines are being monitored, renewals are addressed proactively, and opportunities to negotiate stronger pricing and terms are consistently pursued. The successful candidate will not simply maintain contracts. They will actively manage them and look for opportunities to improve the financial and operational value of our agreements.
