Job Description The Aviation Proposal Coordinator develops accurate, competitive, and timely customer proposals that support aircraft engine maintenance, repair, overhaul, inspection, parts, and related services. This role reviews customer requests, interprets technical and commercial requirements, and collaborates across multiple departments to define work scopes, estimate costs, and establish pricing, lead times, and turnaround commitments in alignment with applicable Pratt & Whitney Canada (P&WC) requirements, technical data, and internal procedures. Responsibilities Develop accurate, competitive proposals for aircraft engine maintenance, repair, overhaul, inspection, parts, and related services. Review customer RFQs, engine records, maintenance history, work scopes, and applicable P&WC technical requirements to create comprehensive proposal packages. Coordinate the integration of applicable P&WC Service Bulletins (SBs), Airworthiness Directives (ADs), technical publications, inspections, modifications, and life-limited part requirements into proposal work scopes. Partner with Maintenance, Planning, Engineering, Quality, and Materials teams to establish labor estimates, material requirements, tooling needs, outside services, lead times, and turnaround time commitments. Research historical engine events, labor and material usage, and previous proposals to improve estimating accuracy and consistency. Obtain and evaluate vendor pricing, repair and exchange options, material availability, lead times, and supply-chain risks to support competitive and reliable proposals. Manage multiple proposals simultaneously, balancing priorities and deadlines with a strong sense of urgency and follow-through. Communicate proposal status, risks, cost changes, material constraints, and turnaround concerns clearly and promptly to Sales and leadership. Manage proposal revisions resulting from customer requests, technical findings, Service Bulletins, pricing updates, or changes in scope. Ensure proposals comply with applicable P&WC requirements, technical data, and internal procedures while maintaining high standards of accuracy and clarity. Collaborate closely with Sales, Maintenance, Planning, Materials, Engineering, Quality, Finance, and external vendors to coordinate work scope, estimated costs, pricing, and material and service requirements. Apply strong writing, technical writing, and editing skills to produce clear, professional proposal documents and related correspondence. Support government and defense-related proposal activities, including RFQs, government contracts, and pricing, as applicable. Use Adobe and other document tools to prepare, format, and finalize proposal materials. Maintain organized records of proposals, revisions, and supporting documentation for future reference and analysis. Essential Skills Diploma, Associate's Degree, Bachelor's Degree, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience preferred. 3+ years of experience in aviation maintenance, engine MRO, estimating, proposals, planning, sales support, materials, or a related aviation environment preferred. Working knowledge of aircraft engine maintenance, repair, overhaul, and inspection processes preferred. Familiarity with P&WC engine programs, Service Bulletins, Airworthiness Directives, maintenance manuals, overhaul manuals, and technical publications preferred. Ability to interpret customer work scopes, technical requirements, material requirements, cost information, and commercial terms with accuracy. Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail when reviewing technical data and cost information. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple proposals, deadlines, and changing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interacting with internal teams, vendors, and customers. Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook. Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating across multiple departments and with external vendors. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with proposal writing, RFQs, and quoting processes in an aviation or technical environment. Background in aviation, aircraft operations, or engine maintenance support. Technical writing and editing experience, with the ability to produce clear, concise, and accurate documents. Familiarity with government contracts, Department of Defense (DoD) requirements, and government pricing practices. Experience using Adobe or similar tools for document creation, formatting, and editing. Strong research skills to analyze historical engine events, labor and material usage, and prior proposals. Demonstrated ability to identify and assess vendor pricing, repair and exchange options, material availability, lead times, and supply-chain risks. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Okmulgee, OK. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $32.70 - $36.06/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
