Job Description
Responsible for preparing, reviewing, and managing vendor, service, commercial, and real estate contracts to ensure they align with company goals, policies, and legal regulations. Responsible for oversight of the contract lifecycle management software (Contract Logix). Initiates negotiations and ensure competitive rates are attained prior to contracts being finalized by the CEO and/or CFO. The Contract Specialist will serve as a key liaison between internal departments and external partners to facilitate smooth and compliant contract execution. This position also oversees property and auto claim investigations/management as well as the annual insurance application completion.
Job Requirements Knowledge of/Skill/Ability to:
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and independent work skills
- Knowledge of contract types, contract law and guidelines, procurement process, and risk management
- Subject matter expert in contracts and contract management software
- Ability to provide contract scenarios and market analysis
- Work with Materials Management and GPO to negotiate best rates on contracted services
- Work closely with department leaders regarding contract renewal and rates
- Skilled in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Excellent time management, organization, and multitasking abilities License/Certification Certified Commercial Contracts Manager (CCCM), and/or Certified Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM), or similar certification specific to healthcare a plus. Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Law, Finance, or a related field preferred
- Paralegal certificate preferred
- 3+ years of healthcare experience in contract administration and legal review preferred Physical Demands and Work Environment Conditions / ADA Compliance Position involves standing, walking, stooping, and occasional carrying and lifting of lightweight materials (up to 20 pounds).
