Job Description

Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Contracts Specialist (Government, Commercial and International) to join our team. This role supports the full lifecycle of government, commercial, and international contracts within a fast-paced manufacturing environment —primarily defense-related. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of contract terms, compliance, and cross-functional coordination.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the administration of government, commercial, and international contracts (Fixed Price & Cost Plus). Interface directly with U.S. Government Contracting Officers, prime contractors, and international procurement teams. Support export control compliance, including export documentation, licenses, and transportation issues. Prepare and track sales quotes, invoices, contract change orders, and amendments. Monitor contract and licensing (ATF, DDTC, DOT, SAM) deadlines and participate in renewal processes. Review and redline commercial and international contract terms to ensure compliance with company policies. Maintain detailed contract files and support internal/external audits. Ensure timely coordination with internal stakeholders for contract approvals and customer deliverables. Participate in negotiations and risk assessments of contract terms. Provide contract production status reports and follow up with customers on payments and deliverables. Recommend and support process improvements in contracts workflow. Adhere strictly to the company's Code of Ethics.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in Business, Contracts, Legal Studies, or related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in contracts administration (government/commercial/international). Working knowledge of key contractual concepts such as indemnification, warranty, payments terms, data rights, limitation of liability, and termination clauses. Familiarity with FAR/DFARS and defense-related manufacturing environments. Experience dealing with government regulators (e.g., DCMA). Entry-level knowledge of export control regulations and licensing. Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-paced setting. Must be able to work ten-hour days on-site.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with government property/equipment administration. Familiarity with NDA, Teaming Agreements, and PIAs. Understanding of government/manufacturing acronyms and terminology.
