Job Description

Contracts Specialist New Jersey Water Supply Authority has a full-time position for a Contracts Specialist at our Clinton, NJ site. NJWSA's water system is made up of the Round Valley, Spruce Run, and Manasquan Reservoirs, as well as 60 miles of the D&R Canal system. Our mission is to maintain and deliver a dependable supply of water to 2 million NJ residents, and to preserve and enhance source water quality and quantity through planning and preservation. The Contracts Specialist contributes to the Authority's mission by assisting in the administration of bids, contracts, and property and casualty insurance of the organization.
Job responsibilities include:
preparing and distributing bid packages and preparing and monitoring progress of contracts; ensuring legal and contractual compliance, including insurance, required certifications, registration, and licenses; and processing vouchers for payments against contracts. A detailed job description is posted under Employment on our website at https://www.njwsa.org A successful candidate requires an Associate's degree in Business, Public Administration, or Pre-Law, or a Paralegal certification. In addition, applicants should have two years' experience in the preparation, record keeping, and administration of contracts. Advanced Microsoft Word and Excel skills, as well as excellent attention to detail and organizational skills are required. NJ residency is required within the first year of employment.
