OF JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

You'll manage the documentation of the full life cycle of Universal's contracts: review, approval, execution, renewal, and retention. You'll work closely with the CFO, department managers, business unit leaders, and outside counsel, keeping records clean, tracking key dates and obligations, storing agreements safely, and giving internal teams clear answers about what we've signed. You are not the lawyer; you're the person who makes sure nothing slips through the cracks.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

Move agreements through review, approval, execution, renewal, and retention. Coordinate revisions, approvals, and signatures across internal stakeholders, external stakeholders, and outside counsel. Help onboard new partners, including collecting required documentation. Read the agreements closely Review and summarize contracts, term sheets, confidentiality agreements, and amendments. Track critical terms that represent money and risk: pricing, margin, deposits, purchase order requirements, certificates of insurance, purchase order requirements, exclusivity levels, MAP, returns, co-op commitments, rebates, renewal dates, and termination requirements. Compare proposed agreements against company standards and flag issues for management or legal review. Keep the record straight Maintain the contract repository and track expirations, renewals, amendments, and notice periods. Monitor compliance and document potential problems for the right business leader. Maintain contract information, reports, and scorecards. Support the business Gather information and prepare documentation for new partners and key initiatives. Coordinate with Purchasing, Finance, Sales, and Marketing on what a contract actually says.

REQUIREMENTS

2+ years in contract management, contract administration, or paralegal support. Strong organization and real attention to detail — this job rewards people who catch what others miss. Ability to read a contract, pull out the business terms, and explain them clearly to a non-lawyer. Strong Microsoft Word and Excel skills, with the ability to learn new software and record systems. Ability to juggle multiple contracts, deadlines, and priorities at once. Curiosity about AI tools and interest in using them responsibly for contract review, summarization, and research. Education/Experience Experience reviewing all types of business agreements. Paralegal education or certification. Background in spa, wellness, beauty, hospitality, or distribution. Customer service experience.

Salary/Details Pay Range:

$45,000-$50,000 annually, based on experience

Work Arrangement:

Remote, hybrid, or onsite in Abingdon, VA; remote available in approved states

Travel:

Occasional, for training or meetings
