Fully remote role supporting complex government projects Stable pipeline backed by long-term federal contracts About Our Client Our client is a privately held construction firm with nearly 30 years of experience delivering federal, state, and municipal construction projects. With a reputation for excellence in highly regulated government environments, the company maintains a strong backlog of work through long-term contract vehicles and established agency relationships. Operating with a senior-level, highly collaborative team, they specialize in projects throughout New England and the broader East Coast, including work for the Department of Veterans Affairs, U.S. Army, military facilities, and other public sector agencies. Their projects typically range from $2M-$10M and are supported by a culture that values communication, trust, flexibility, and employee longevity. Job Description Identify and evaluate federal, state, municipal, and commercial project opportunities for pursuit Lead the development of competitive proposals, bids, and estimating packages Review plans, specifications, and contract documents to prepare accurate cost estimates Coordinate with internal leadership and operations teams on bid strategy and project pursuits Manage the proposal process from opportunity identification through final submission Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and industry partners Prepare scheduling assumptions and project timelines using scheduling software Support preconstruction efforts and provide estimating expertise to executive leadership MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law. The Successful Applicant A successful Proposal Manager / Senior Estimator should have: 8+ years of estimating or senior estimating experience within the construction industry Proven experience preparing bids, estimates, and proposals for commercial and/or public sector projects Government, federal, military, VA, or public-sector project experience is highly preferred Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and procurement processes Experience identifying new project opportunities and supporting business development efforts Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, and/or Primavera P6 Excellent written communication and proposal-writing skills Self-motivated professional capable of working independently in a remote environment Candidates located in the Northeast or broader East Coast region are preferred What's on Offer Competitive base salary Fully remote work environment Medical coverage with 100% employee-only healthcare premium paid 401(k) retirement plan Paid time off Long-term career stability with a strong backlog of government-funded work Opportunity to work alongside an experienced leadership team with deep industry expertise
