What You Will Contribute to OHM Advisors The Pursuits Manager is responsible for managing the operational execution of business development pursuits, including tracking opportunities, coordinating proposal workflows, managing Business Development Coordinator workloads, and ensuring timely and high-quality pursuit deliverables. This role leads pursuit logistics, schedules, and internal coordination while also serving as a pursuit leader on assigned opportunities. Your Responsibilities Pursuit Operations & Workflow Management Manage the pursuit pipeline and assign opportunities to Business Development Coordinators based on workload, skillset, and geographic alignment. Track progress of all active proposals across assigned markets to ensure schedules, milestones, and quality expectations are being met. Coordinate and arrange additional support or resources as needed to keep proposals on track, without assuming ownership of proposal schedules for pursuits led by others. Proposal & Pursuit Execution Identify, download, track, and distribute RFPs/RFQs and opportunity notices across assigned markets and geographies. Lead assigned pursuits from kickoff through submission, shortlist interview, and debrief. Coordinate proposal content development, graphics, resumes, and project experience in collaboration with technical teams. Ensure proposals comply with client requirements, firm branding standards, and quality expectations. Coordinate internal reviews, red teams, and executive approvals as needed. Team Coordination & Resource Planning Coordinate with BD leadership and Directors to balance coordinator workloads and staffing needs. Identify resource gaps and escalate staffing or schedule conflicts. Coordinate training of new hires and junior level business development coordinators. Mentor BD Coordinators on proposal processes, tools, and best practices. Post-Submittal Follow-Up & Performance Tracking Track pursuit outcomes, debrief feedback, and win/loss data. Coordinate follow-up communications and lessons learned with pursuit teams and leadership. Support continuous improvement of pursuit processes, templates, and tools. Requirements Bachelor's Degree in an appropriate field from an accredited college or university. Minimum of 8 years of experience in proposal development, pursuit management, or A/E marketing operations. Strong process management, scheduling, and organizational skills. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, MS Office, CRM, and BD systems. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. The successful candidate must be based out of any of our Ohio offices, Southeast Michigan offices, or Nashville, TN for regular on-site work.
