The Senior Contracts Manager will oversee the full contract lifecycle—from proposal strategy and negotiation through award, execution, and sustainment—serving as a trusted advisor to the business on customer relationships, regulatory compliance, contract terms, negotiation strategy, and scope management. In this role, you will work across multiple business units and product lines spanning international and U.S. domestic operations, balancing near-term deliverables with long-term program goals. Success requires strong proficiency in managing diverse contract types—including complex development, production, non-disclosure, and sustainment contracts—for both civil and military/government customers, as well as comfort navigating cross-border business practices and regulatory frameworks. This role is location-flexible, but working hours must align with Eastern Time business hours Job Description Roles and Responsibilities Serve as a contracts subject matter expert supporting all phases of the program lifecycle—proposal, negotiation, award, and post-award execution—including managing commercial issues, customer relationships, change management, claims, and disputes. Act as the primary point of contact between GE Aerospace and its civil and government customers on all contractual matters, including contract interpretation and dispute resolution. Provide end-to-end contract administration for assigned proposals and contracts, including drafting and reviewing contract terms and conditions, leading negotiations, and advising internal stakeholders on contract risk and compliance. Serve as a liaison with internal functional owners—including finance, program management, engineering, sales, and legal—to align contractual commitments with program execution. Guide proposal teams through solicitation assessment, including
FAR/DFARS
compliance, export control considerations (ITAR/EAR), and other business, legal, and compliance risks, and develop mitigation strategies. Monitor contract compliance throughout the contract lifecycle, ensuring performance obligations, deliverables, and reporting requirements are met. Participate in special projects as assigned, including process improvement initiatives across the contracts organizations. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited institution; a Juris Doctor or advanced degree in business, contract management, or a related field is a plus. 6+ years of experience in contract formation and execution across civil, U.S. Government, and international contracting environments. Demonstrated expertise in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), with particular emphasis on Part 12 (Acquisition of Commercial Items) and Part 15 (Contracting by Negotiation), as well as the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) and applicable export control regulations (ITAR/EAR). Desired Characteristics Experience negotiating and drafting contracts for both civil/commercial and U.S. Government military customers. Experience briefing stakeholders, including cross-functional team members and functional leadership, on contract status, risk, and compliance matters. Ability to work effectively across international and domestic business contexts, including time zone coordination and cross-cultural business practices. Demonstrated ability to lead negotiations on high-value or high-risk contracts. Ability to work independently and cohesively with teams. Prior experience as a U.S. Government contracting officer or in a similar military/government contracting role. Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems. Strong interpersonal skills with ability to build relationships within GE Aerospace. Ability to manage projects/assignments within tight deadlines
Continuous Improvement:

The base pay range for this position is $131,000 - $145,000. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary/ commission based on the plan. This posting is expected to close on September 4th, 2026.
