DEPADM The Opportunity The Legal Operations & Contracts Manager leads the administration, coordination, tracking, execution, and repository management of the company's contract portfolio. Serving as the operational hub of the Legal Department, this role manages contract intake, workflow prioritization, NDA administration, document retention, signature processes, reporting, and legal technology administration. This role also acts as an admin to the General Counsel helping ensure his days is able to be prioritized and run efficiently. The position creates visibility into legal work, improves contract cycle times, maintains disciplined contract repositories, and enables attorneys to focus on strategic legal advice, negotiations, disputes, governance, and complex transactions. This role is fully onsite in the far North Dallas/ West Plano area. What you will do? Contract Intake & Prioritization Serve as the initial point of contact for contract requests and manage intake workflows. Categorize and prioritize requests, maintain visibility of active matters, coordinate deadlines with business leaders, and escalate urgent, high-risk, or strategic matters to attorneys. Prepare weekly reports identifying bottlenecks, aging matters, and workload trends. NDA Program Ownership Administer confidentiality agreements and NDAs from initiation through execution, including approvals, signatures, distribution, storage, indexing, and applicable expiration or termination tracking. Maintain NDA templates and playbooks and serve as the primary internal resource for NDA process questions. Contract Lifecycle Administration Track contracts through intake, review, negotiation, approval, execution, storage, amendment, renewal, and termination. Maintain accurate status reporting; track key dates, notice periods, renewals, and obligations; and generate contract metrics and dashboards. Repository & Records Management Own and administer Legal's contract repository, ensuring executed agreements are uploaded, organized, searchable, and supported by consistent metadata and naming conventions. Implement and monitor document retention requirements, support legal hold and audit requests, and administer legal repositories and contract databases. Signature & Closing Coordination Manage signature workflows, routing, execution packages, and approval requirements under company delegations of authority. Maintain executed contract records and assemble closing binders and transaction documentation. Legal Operations & Technology Develop and maintain department workflows and standard operating procedures. Create dashboards measuring contract cycle times, intake volume, backlog, template utilization, NDA volume, and SLA adherence. Support implementation and administration of CLM platforms, SharePoint repositories, workflow automation tools, and electronic signature systems. Cross-Functional Coordination Partner with Finance, Procurement, Project Management, Commercial Teams, Human Resources, and Information Technology. Train internal stakeholders on contract intake procedures and legal workflows and promote adherence to legal policies, templates, and processes. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience. Five or more years of experience in legal operations, contract administration, contract management, paralegal services, procurement contracting, or corporate legal departments. Experience managing large contract portfolios and maintaining contract repositories and records management systems. Strong proficiency with Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Teams, Excel, and Power BI. Exceptional organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously. Preferred Qualifications Corporate legal department experience preferred. Construction, infrastructure, technology, energy, engineering, or EPC industry experience preferred. Experience implementing or administering CLM systems such as Ironclad, Summize, Agiloft, ContractWorks, or DocuSign CLM preferred. Experience supporting executive-level stakeholders preferred.
