Job Description
Short Description We are seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to join in! This is a great opportunity to advance your career with a leading global company in the Dredging industry. Based in Galveston, and leaders in dredging and marine construction services. Function Description As a Contracts Manager , you will be performing the following activities: Prepare, negotiate, and manage business contracts, including customer contracts, project subcontracts, master service agreements with vendors, and charter agreements (manned and bareboat) Oversee the contracting process from initial review to execution, renewal, or termination. Review, red-line, and negotiate contract terms to mitigate risks and ensure alignment with company policies. Prepare and manage contract documents for subcontractors and third parties following corporate guidelines. Address and resolve contract-related disputes or issues efficiently. Provide proactive support to project teams with active contract management and strategy. Collaborate with Risk Management to align insurance and risk requirements with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors. Maintain clear communication, updating contract statuses and addressing concerns promptly. Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and company policies across all contracts. Monitor and assess new laws, regulations, and trends for potential impacts on company objectives. Offer guidance on negotiation strategies and participate in resolving complex contractual issues. Develop and implement new contract policies, processes, and compliance measures. Maintain organized contract records and ensure timely documentation of performance and compliance. Demonstrate the ability to work independently and adapt to evolving tasks as assigned. What do we offer you? Competitive salary; liability insurance and eligable for health benefits (Medical, vision and dental) and 401k plan Requirements In addition to having experience in this area, we have the following requirements: US citizen Bachelor's degree in a business, law, finance, or related field 3 or more years of experience in the construction industry 3 or more years in dredging and/or a maritime industry 5 or more years of experience in contract negotiation (preferred) Must have good understanding of the business including financial/analytical issues and profit and loss implications.
