Job Description

Position Summary:
Responsible for leading the administration of all ERCOT electric power market Settlement issues including data collection/validation, billing, disputes and power mismatches.
Target Hiring Range :
Salary commensurate with experience
Essential Job Functions:
Facilitate the review and analysis of ERCOT Settlement invoices to determine if invoices are valid. Responsible for filing settlement disputes and supporting documentation with ERCOT within the mandated 10-day deadline. Responsible for validation, analysis, and reporting of settlements data resulting from daily wholesale activities. Review the work of subordinate specialists to ensure that ERCOT power market settlement data and documents are correct, accurate, and applied in a timely manner as per market protocols. Prepare and review Wholesale Customer bills Analyze and prepare Commercial and Industrial data and documents for monthly billing and ERCOT reporting. Analyze, prepare and deliver invoices for financial gas hedges, bilateral counterparties and energy broker deals of ERCOT market transactions. Analyze, monitor and compile data for the Garland and Sub QSEs including but not limited to EPS Meter Data, SCADA Data, Third-Party external data, etc. Review, prepare and analyze Renewable Energy data for both Garland and sub QSEs, also working with PPA participants. Perform various generation, transmission, market studies, and/or administrative duties as delegated/required. Minimum Education & Work Experience Bachelor's degree 5 years related experience Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel Or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. Abilities & Skills Education/ Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Engineering or related area of study 5-7 years electric industry experience Experience using PCI (Power Cost Incorporated) software. GenManager ERCOT and Power ETRM. Experience using MV-90 software
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Extensive knowledge of electric market and accounting/finance principles terminology Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel Considerable knowledge of the Microsoft Office Software Proficient knowledge and understanding of ERCOT data collection requirements Proficient skill to work in a team environment as a positive influence Ability to analyze complex mathematical equations and understand associated terminology Ability to implement contractual terminology into mathematical expressions Ability to grasp and apply new concepts Licenses & Certifications Valid Class C Texas driver's license Physical Tasks & Working Conditions The incumbent works in a typical office environment relatively free from unpleasant environmental conditions or hazards.
