Title:
Contract Administrator The Contract Administrator will assist with the entire contract cycle associated with the execution of the company's projects. The role will be responsible for facilitating the creation, negotiation, signing, organization and upholding of contracts, including, but not limited to, equipment purchases, EPC agreements, Owner's Engineer support services, lease and purchase option contracts, easements, real estate closing documents, and other relevant project agreements. This position will report directly to the company's General Counsel and will have frequent interaction with the Procurement/EPC department and other business units.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Assist with drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts, amendments, change orders, legal notices and similar agreements Maintain logs of commercial communications, support the drafting of legal notices and responses Review and analyze contracts to identify, track and ensure compliance with deliverables, milestones, and other obligations Maintain accurate and organized project documentation and records Monitor change orders and lead development of contract amendments, ensuring proper authorizations are obtained, documented, and retained Complete basic form real estate documents, such as options, option memoranda, purchase and sale agreements, leases, easements, assignments, notices, deeds, and other closing documents Support resolution of contractual disputes or claims Support due diligence efforts, contract compilation and execution, and real estate and/or M&A transaction closings Assist with budget control and cost tracking Monitor payment schedules, invoices and financial obligations tied to contracts Assist with establishing and implementing internal processes for the management of contracts, version controls, and monitoring and assuring compliance with ongoing agreements, identifying and recommending improvements as applicable Communicate and consult across multiple teams to ensure performance of contractual obligations on a recurring or as-needed basis Assist in managing external legal resources Prepare regular reports on contract status, risks, and compliance Perform other related duties and special projects, as assigned
Skills:
Excellent written, verbal and non-verbal communication; able to communicate to audiences with varying degrees of technical understanding Strong negotiation and presentation skills Proficiency with Microsoft products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook, etc.) Experience administering complex commercial contracts and transactions, with detailed commercial and legal knowledge of equipment sale agreements, EPC agreements, engineering services agreements, and/or commercial real estate contracts and closing deliverables, preferred Proven success in commercial deal structuring, pricing strategy, and contract development and negotiation Experience in energy industry Paralegal certification and experience preferred but not required Experience using Salesforce, Inspire Planner and Procore is a plus Characteristics of an ideal candidate: Passion for energy development and the environment Creative problem-solving ability and solutions-oriented mindset Self-starter with a desire to succeed and a focus on creating value Team player and leader, proactive attitude Highly organized, exceptional attention to detail Ability to collaborate and create support for development projects Comfortable with a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment Ability to multi-task, make informed decisions quickly and a bias for action Integrity and accountability
Education & Experience:
4-year university degree, BS or BA 2+ years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified
Travel & Time Commitment:
Limited travel related to company events This is a full-time, exempt salaried position. Standard office hours are from 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM EST. The demands of projects may require work outside of these times.
