The selected candidate will support the 633d Contracting Squadron with acquisition planning, solicitation development, source selection, contract award, contract administration, modifications, negotiations, performance monitoring, and contract closeout. This position is intended for experienced federal acquisition professionals who have performed Contract Specialist or Contracting Officer functions in a Government contracting environment. Roles and Responsibilities The Senior Acquisition Specialist will provide support throughout the complete federal acquisition lifecycle, including: Conduct acquisition planning, market research, and acquisition strategy development Assist with development of Statements of Work, Performance Work Statements, Statements of Objectives, and related acquisition documentation Prepare solicitations, RFQs, RFPs, amendments, and supporting documentation Conduct market research and assist with contract type determinations Support source selection activities and proposal evaluations Assist with cost and price analysis Develop negotiation strategies and supporting documentation Prepare contract awards, modifications, and related contractual documents Review and administer contract terms and conditions Verify vendor information through SAM.gov and other federal acquisition systems Maintain complete and accurate contract files Review invoices and contract expenditures Monitor contractor performance Prepare negotiation memoranda, expenditure logs, cure notices, show-cause documentation, and other acquisition correspondence Process contract modifications, funding actions, options, and related post-award actions Perform contract closeout Prepare acquisition plans, source selection plans, business clearance memoranda, special clauses, and other acquisition documentation Provide technical assistance to Contracting Officers, Contract Specialists, and requiring activities These duties directly reflect the Government's cradle-to-grave requirement, including pre-award, award, post-award administration and closeout. Required Qualifications Experience Minimum eight (8) years of federal contracting experience Demonstrated experience performing pre-award, award, and post-award contracting functions Experience supporting federal acquisitions under the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Experience preparing solicitations, awards, modifications, acquisition plans, source selection documentation, negotiation documentation, and contract closeouts Experience working directly with Contracting Officers, Contract Specialists, program offices, vendors, and Government customers Certification Candidate must possess one of the following or a qualifying equivalent: DAWIA Contracting Level II or higher APDP Contracting Level II or higher FAC-C Level II or
III FAC-C
Professional / Back-to-Basics Professional Other clearly equivalent professional federal contracting certification Systems Experience Candidates should have demonstrated experience with federal contract-writing and acquisition systems, particularly:CON-IT KTFS WAWF / PIEE
Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook Experience with PRISM, PD2, eCMS, FPDS, SAM.gov, CPARS, SPS, or other federal acquisition systems is also highly desirable. Preferred Background Candidates with previous experience as any of the following are strongly encouraged to apply: GS-1102 Contract Specialist Contracting Officer Senior Contract Specialist Acquisition Specialist Procurement Analyst performing full lifecycle federal contracting Air Force, Army, Navy, DoD, DHS, VA, or other federal acquisition professional Previous U.S. Air Force contracting experience is highly desirable.Pay:
