Join Our Growing Leadership Team! Concordia Retirement Community is seeking an exceptional candidate to join our leadership team as our Assistant Executive Director . This is an exciting opportunity for an outgoing, compassionate, and motivated leader who enjoys building relationships, supporting seniors and their families, and helping a community grow. This position is highly focused on marketing, sales, community outreach, and census development. The Assistant Executive Director will work closely with our Community Relations Director to introduce prospective residents and families to Concordia, develop referral relationships, conduct tours, participate in community events, and support the entire move in process. The Assistant Executive Director will also serve as a trusted support to the Executive Director and assist with resident relations, family communication, customer service, special projects, and other operational needs throughout the community. Compensation will be based on experience, qualifications, leadership ability, and the overall value you bring to our team. Job Summary The Assistant Executive Director is an important member of Concordia's leadership team. This individual will help increase occupancy, strengthen our presence in the community, and provide an exceptional experience for prospective residents, current residents, and their families. The ideal candidate will be comfortable meeting new people, developing community partnerships, following up with prospects, conducting tours, and helping families navigate the decision to move into senior living. This position will also assist new residents and families with move in paperwork, coordinate move in details with department leaders, and ensure each resident receives a welcoming and organized experience. As residents' needs change, the Assistant Executive Director will help connect residents and families with services available through Concordia and the trusted outside providers with whom we partner. We are looking for a hands-on leader who is highly organized, communicates well, follows through on responsibilities, and is willing to assist wherever needed. Responsibilities Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Work closely with the Community Relations Director to support marketing, sales, outreach, and census goals. Develop relationships with physicians' offices, churches, health care providers, real estate professionals, local businesses, community organizations, and other referral sources. Represent Concordia at networking events, health fairs, community programs, outreach visits, and other public events. Assist with tours, telephone inquiries, prospect follow up, home visits, open houses, and marketing events. Build trusting relationships with prospective residents and families while helping them understand Concordia's services, amenities, pricing, and lifestyle. Assist new residents and families with move in paperwork and ensure all required information is completed accurately. Coordinate with department leaders to ensure apartments are prepared and move in arrangements are clearly communicated. Follow up with residents and families after move in to ensure they are satisfied and receiving excellent customer service. Help connect residents and families with Concordia services and trusted outside providers as additional needs arise. Support the Executive Director with resident concerns, family communication, special projects, leadership initiatives, and daily operational needs. Collaborate with department leaders to improve communication, customer service, move ins, and the overall resident experience. Maintain accurate prospect records, follow up documentation, marketing information, and move in paperwork. Protect resident privacy and handle confidential information professionally. Assist in other areas of the community when additional leadership or operational support is needed. Perform other duties as assigned. Is comfortable representing Concordia and developing new connections throughout the community. Provides outstanding customer service to residents, families, prospects, and visitors. Communicates clearly and professionally, especially when helping families through important decisions. Works collaboratively with the Executive Director, Community Relations Director, and other department leaders. Manages multiple priorities while remaining organized and responsive. Takes ownership of responsibilities and follows concerns through to completion. Brings a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to help wherever needed. Qualifications Experience in senior living, health care, hospitality, marketing, sales, business development, customer service, or another service focused industry preferred. Previous leadership, management, or supervisory experience preferred. Experience with sales, community outreach, relationship development, or occupancy growth preferred. Excellent communication, organization, and customer service skills. Genuine passion for working with seniors and supporting their families. Confidence communicating with prospective residents, families, referral sources, community partners, and employees. Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and adjust priorities as community needs change. Ability to handle concerns calmly, compassionately, and professionally. Ability to work independently while remaining part of a collaborative leadership team. Comfortable learning and using computer programs, electronic records, and prospect tracking systems. Ability to maintain confidentiality and use sound judgment when handling sensitive information. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. Why Join Concordia?
