In this role, you will be the driving force behind our inventory acquisition, focusing entirely on retaining existing customers who are currently in our service department. You will utilize our CRM and equity mining tools to identify high-potential trade-in opportunities, engage customers while they wait, and convert service appointments into vehicle acquisitions and upgrades.
Key Responsibilities CRM & Equity Mining:
Daily monitoring of the CRM, service schedule, and data mining tools (e.g., vAuto, DealerSocket, VinSolutions, or Autoalert) to identify target service clients with equity or expiring leases.
Customer Engagement:
Approach service customers on the drive or in the lounge to discuss their current vehicle, offer complimentary appraisals, and present upgrade options.
Retention Focus:
Build rapport with loyal service clients to ensure they transition into their next vehicle with our dealership rather than a competitor.
Appraisal & Valuation:
Conduct vehicle walkarounds, input data into appraisal software, and present competitive, transparent purchase offers.
Deal Structuring:
Work closely with the sales and finance teams to structure seamless "key-for-key" exchanges where customers can often keep a similar monthly payment.
Pipeline Management:
Maintain meticulous notes in the CRM, tracking every customer interaction, appraisal, and follow-up.
Qualifications Experience:
Minimum of 2-3 years in automotive retail sales, vehicle buying/acquisition, or a dedicated service-to-sales role. BDC experience also welcomed.
CRM Mastery:
High proficiency with automotive CRMs and equity mining software is strictly required.
Communication:
Exceptional interpersonal skills with a low-pressure, consultative approach to customer service.
Analytical Skills:
Ability to understand vehicle valuations, market trends, and basic deal structuring.
