Ensures the economic and efficient operion of the assigned facility to include: supervising and directing work; ensuring a safe and pleasurable environment for all prons, ensuring the cleanliness and good repair of the facility, reporting any damages, mechanical or other breakage or malfunction, and reporting/correcting safety hazards, following up as necessary. Serves as fund custodian, ensuring internal controls (e.g., cash handling, daily accounting of funds, inventory, property and vehicles) are in place and in compliance with regional standards, procedures and objectives. Ensures registers are properly rung out the end of each shift, change funds are properly accounted for and secured. Reports all cash discrepancies in accordance with local directives. Assists with the annual budget. Serves as property custodian for all equipment and ensures the approprie receipt, tagging, and disposition of assets. Performs a variety of reled administrive duties, keeping abreast of requirements and deadlines. Prepares purchase orders for equipment, parts and supplies as required. Records contractual informion, fees and payments into a computer dabase and prepares reports as required. Oversees a sailing instruction program (e.g., classroom and on the wer), a rental fleet, and/or a ship's store/resale operion, depending upon assigned site. Assists in issuing and receiving rental equipment from customers, assists customers in hooking up trailers, loading and unloading of equipment into personal vehicles. Ensures grounds and facilities are maintained and clean (e.g., cleans park tables, collects/empties trash cans, barbecues, pavilions, docks, and rental equipment to ensure they are in serviceable condition). Supervisory duties comprise 25% of the incumbent's time and include but are not limited to: Directs work to be accomplished by staff. Assigns work based on priorities, difficulty and requirements of assignments, and staff capabilities. Conducts annual performance reviews of staff. Participes in section staffing decisions. Ensures staff receives proper training to fulfill requirements of their positions. Addresses potential disciplinary and/or performance issues timely and takes approprie, corrective action(s) as necessary. Oversees the day-to-day management and maintenance of the Recreional Lodging property and insures th all discrepancies are corrected in a timely manner. Establishes and manages a proactive guest relions and communicion program to achieve and maintain superb customer service rings. Develops and implements rental res. Ensures proper budgetary and accounting policies are implemented, providing effective cost control measures so a minimum self-sufficiency of 100% is maintained for the program. Manages and purchases Furniture Fixture & Equipment (FF&E), supplies and equipment to maintain the facility. Reviews all financial documents for accuracy and forwards to the Fleet Readiness business office for processing. Establishes internal controls to protect income, property, vehicles, resale, supplies and records. Maintains accountability for the requisition, receipt, and storage of all inventory, consumable, non consumable, minor property and fixed assets. Plans and implements renovions/repairs and reviews work in progress; primary liaison for recapitalizion projects. Ensures the cleanliness and maintenance of all assigned buildings and grounds; reports and manages to completions hazardous conditions to proper authority. Develops performance work stements for contract services and measures compliance through inspections, audits, and customer critiques. Ensures program complies with Local and Regional program policies, regulions, and procedures, and higher-level Navy and DoD instructions, regulions and program standards
