Job Overview

As a Renewable Development Intern, you'll gain hands-on experience supporting projects and initiatives related to the development of renewable energy assets. Depending on your team and assignment, you may gain exposure to areas such as project development, market analysis, site evaluation, permitting, project economics, commercial strategy, or other development activities.



Throughout the internship, you'll have opportunities to strengthen your analytical and business skills, learn from experienced professionals, collaborate across disciplines, and better understand how renewable energy projects move from opportunity to execution.



Job Duties & Responsibilities Assists Renewable Development teams with assigned projects, analyses, and business initiatives

Analyzes market, project, operational, financial, and other business data to support development decisions

Supports evaluation of potential renewable energy opportunities and projects

Assists with project research, site analysis, market assessments, and development activities

Supports preparation of project materials, presentations, reports, and business analyses

Helps organize and evaluate information related to project timelines, costs, opportunities, risks, and assumptions

Collaborates with Development, Engineering, Finance, Legal, Operations, and other business partners

Assists with research related to renewable energy markets, regulations, technologies, and industry trends

Identifies opportunities to improve development processes, analyses, tools, or reporting

Contributes to meaningful projects that support the continued growth of renewable energy

Develops analytical, business, communication, and problem-solving skills through hands-on experience

Presents project work, findings, and recommendations to team members and leadership

Takes ownership of assigned work, asks thoughtful questions, and actively seeks opportunities to learn and contribute

Assumes responsibility for own travel, lodging, and transportation necessary to be available for the program

Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications Maintain active enrollment in a bachelor's degree or higher degree program

Maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher

Ability to complete a minimum 10-week internship, beginning no later than June 1

Preferred Qualifications Pursuing a degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, Economics, Environmental Science, Real Estate, or a related field

Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills

Interest in renewable energy, project development, infrastructure, or energy markets

Strong research and data analysis skills

Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Demonstrated curiosity, initiative, and willingness to learn
