Job Description

Job Summary The Retail Operations Supervisor oversees the day-to-day operations of the Sheraton Waikiki and Ala Moana Center retail shops. This position is responsible for staff supervision and scheduling, sales performance, inventory management, merchandising, and buyer-related functions, including product selection, purchasing, pricing, and vendor coordination. The Supervisor works closely with management to execute business initiatives, maintain efficient retail operations, and support established sales and profit goals. Essential Duties Execute approved business and operational plans for LeaLea Market Originals and related retail business lines. Oversee daily operations of the Sheraton Waikiki and Ala Moana Center shops, ensuring efficient workflow, appropriate staffing, and high-quality customer service. Prepare staff schedules, manage shift coverage, and coordinate staffing needs based on business operations. Train new employees and provide ongoing coaching, direction, and development to sales associates. Monitor shop budgets and drive performance toward established sales and profit targets. Prepare and present sales results, operational updates, and forecasts to management. Perform buyer functions, including purchasing planning, product selection, pricing, inventory planning, and vendor coordination within established company guidelines and approval authority. Monitor inventory levels and sales trends, develop replenishment plans, and maintain inventory accuracy across retail locations. Analyze sales performance, inventory data, and customer trends to identify opportunities and recommend operational or merchandising improvements. Plan and execute shop promotions and coordinate social media content in alignment with company guidelines. Manage employee performance, address operational and staffing issues, and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
Work Hours:
Full-time, 40 hours per week. Flexibility may be required based on business needs. Qualifications Demonstrates strong initiative, accountability, and the ability to work independently. Ability to provide clear direction and motivate team members. Build positive and professional relationships with customers, staff, and vendors. Strong problem-solving and creative-thinking abilities. Able to understand merchandising principles and interpret sales or inventory trends. Highly organized, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks. Proficient with basic math and able to work accurately with U.S. currency, weights, and measurements. Proficient in English (verbal and written). Japanese language ability preferred but not required. Regularly required to sit, talk, and hear. Occasionally required to stand, walk, use hands, and reach with arms. Must be able to occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds.
