Director of Physician Relations Appalachian Regional Healthcare, Inc. - 3.6 Lexington, KY Job Details Full-time 23 hours ago Qualifications Employee retention Bachelor's degree Employee retention strategy Full Job Description Overview Physician and APP retention and relations are critical to organizational success at Appalachian Regional Healthcare. High turnover rates among providers can lead to disruptions in patient care, increased costs, and diminished morale among remaining staff. To address these challenges and ensure the long-term sustainability of our medical workforce, ARH recommends the hiring of a Director of Provider Relations to create/lead an effective and engaging Retention Strategy. Responsibilities The proposed Director of Provider Relations, who reports directly to the VP, Physician Recruitment, will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing ARH approved strategies aimed at improving provider satisfaction and retention.
Key responsibilities include:
Assessing physician and APP satisfaction through surveys, personal interviews, one on one meetings, and feedback mechanisms. Identifying causes of turnover and developing targeted interventions. Creating programs for professional growth, mentorship, and work-life balance. Managing the collegial onboarding process. Collaborating with leadership to address systemic issues affecting provider retention. Establish/Lead a System Provider Engagement Committee Monitoring retention metrics and reporting on progress to executive leadership. Review contract expirations and manage extension addendums Travel Required Qualifications Education MBA or MHA preferred - Bachelor's required Minimum Work Experience Minimum 3 years Progressive Experience in Healthcare knowledge Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities In-depth knowledge of Provider Practices/ Retention Strategy/ Provider Engagement
