Job Description

Build something extraordinary with us. Hit Zero Athletics is seeking an inspiring All Star Cheer Director to lead our program, develop our coaches, and help build one of the region's most respected destinations for competitive cheer. Opened in July 2026, Hit Zero already has eight teams and big ambitions. We've invested in an exceptional facility and are building a culture where athletes feel supported, coaches take pride in their work, and families love being part of the gym. This is an opportunity to make a lasting impact—to shape a growing program, establish high standards, and help athletes accomplish things they never thought possible. A facility built for big goals Our 13,000+ square-foot facility on Maryland's beautiful Eastern Shore includes: Two full spring floors. A dedicated dead mat training area. A 40-foot Tumble Track. A 40-foot rod floor into a resi landing area. An athlete lounge for building friendships beyond practice. An upstairs parent lounge. We've created the space. We're looking for the right leader to help realize its potential. What we believe Four core principles guide our program: Athletes will progress. Every athlete deserves purposeful coaching and a clear path to improvement. Teams will be competitive. We train with intention, build strong fundamentals, and prepare teams to perform with confidence. We maintain a positive environment. High expectations and encouragement belong together. We deliver an exceptional family experience. Communication, organization, and relationships matter. Your role As All Star Cheer Director, you will lead the athletic direction of our all star program and work closely with ownership, coaches, and administrative leadership to turn our vision into consistent results.
Your responsibilities will include:
Overseeing athlete development, team progression, and competition readiness. Coaching teams and setting expectations for productive, organized practices. Mentoring coaches through training, feedback, and hands-on leadership. Leading evaluations, team placements, and season planning. Developing training plans for stunting, tumbling, jumps, motions, and routine execution. Coordinating choreography, music, and routine development with staff and outside providers. Applying current competition rules, scoring criteria, and safety standards. Partnering with administrative leadership on schedules, competition planning, and parent communication. Helping attract and retain athletes through clinics, community engagement, and an outstanding program experience. Building a culture of accountability, sportsmanship, trust, and pride. Who we're looking for You are a knowledgeable cheer professional who loves developing people as much as developing routines. You can motivate an athlete, mentor a coach, and communicate with a parent with clarity and respect.
Our ideal candidate brings:
Strong all star cheer coaching experience and a demonstrated record of athlete development. Experience preparing competitive teams, with knowledge relevant to Levels 1-4; higher-level experience is a plus. Experience leading or mentoring coaches. A sound understanding of skill progressions, safe training practices, and competition scoring. Strong organization, communication, and follow-through. A positive, professional leadership style rooted in honesty and accountability. A commitment to athlete well-being and age-appropriate coaching. Availability for evening practices, weekend competitions, and team travel. Ability to meet applicable credentialing, background screening, and athlete protection requirements. Previous experience as a program director, head coach, or in a comparable leadership role is preferred. Why Hit Zero? At Hit Zero, your ideas and leadership will matter. You'll work directly with ownership, help shape a young program's identity, and have the opportunity to grow alongside the business. You'll join a gym with an outstanding facility, ambitious goals, and a clear belief that competitive success should be built on a positive athlete experience. Located in Easton, Maryland, Hit Zero offers the opportunity to do meaningful work in a beautiful Eastern Shore community. Ready to help define what comes next? Send a private message with your résumé and a brief introduction highlighting your coaching experience, leadership background, and vision for a great all star program. Hit Zero Athletics — Big goals. Positive culture. A place to build something you're proud of.
