Reporting:
The Director of Quality is assigned the management functions described in the RSQCM and TM. The Director of Quality reports directly to the President of U.S. Operations in Jacksonville, Florida and the Senior Director of Operations in Great Falls, Montana. The Director of Quality oversees all aspects of the Quality for all MRO Maintenance and Inspection personnel and facilities and ensures compliance with appropriate Regulatory and Company manuals.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Lead and manage a team with strong capabilities in quality management. Provide interpretations, advice, and guidance in respect to all relevant regulatory and guidance material to employees, government, industry, and clients. Develops and implements, in conjunction with appropriate subject matter experts, policies and procedures as required for the company. Advise President of Operations, USA of issues, concerns, deficiencies, and best practices in their areas of responsibility. Provide oversight and guidance for changes to Company Manuals. Maintain oversight of the associated Avmax MRO with respect to quality and safety standards with authority to shut down operations that do not meet established operating standards. Maintain authority for assuring that all aircraft leaving Avmax meet customer expectations and the applicable standard of airworthiness. Provide oversight of Training Programs to ensure personnel have necessary training, equipment, and access to materials and information necessary to perform their duties. Responsible for compliance with all Company policies and procedures. Liaise with regulatory authorities on behalf of the associated Avmax MRO. Advising Executive Management Team of issues, concerns, deficiencies, and best practices, including the sourcing and application of appropriate technologies relating to Quality and Safety. Participate in the establishment, organization, and implementation of short and long-term goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures. Ensure consistent communication with the Quality Control Inspectors. Attend Quality, Safety, Training, Production, and Management meetings. Promote company values, vision, and mission. Manage the operation of the company Safety Management System.
Qualifications:
M.B.A. designation considered an asset. Airframe & PowerPlant License required. PRM - currently or previously held is considered an asset. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Excellent organizational skills. Proficient in Microsoft Suite, i.e. Excel; Word. Possesses strong fundamental aircraft knowledge. Demonstrated capability and competency in field of expertise. Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor people. Experience with manpower loading and budgets preferred.
Experience:
Minimum 5 years' experience in related role at a Director level preferred. Minimum 5 years' experience leading and directing personnel in multiple disciplines preferred. Aviation experience is required.
