Advanced Services Manager
Job Description
JANX is a well-established company and leads the market in highly specialized non-destructive testing and inspection services. JANX is located in the center of numerous unique industries which provides our employees with a wide range of experience. We provide NDT, new construction, maintenance, and inspection services in all aspects of the oil and gas industries, including exploration, transmission, refining, storage facilities, and all oil related support industries. We have an immediate opening for a new Advanced Services Manager out of our New Jersey office! This is a union position with free healthcare and an employer funded pension. This role will be expected to perform billable advanced NDT services work as well as managing the department and business development.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Direct, plan, and manage the daily operations of the Advances Services department in the East Region and ensure adequate coverage of all applicable projects is maintained. Perform advanced services billable work including plastic fusion training, PAUT, and other types of advanced NDT inspections. Coordinate pre-job planning activities including personnel selection, verification of qualifications, equipment selection, equipment testing and set up and client specific quality and reporting requirements. Help deliver the annual revenue budget and year over year growth expectations through customer relationships and business development activities to secure and grow advanced services in the Eastern Region. Develop and grow the technician base to be able to deliver advanced services locally; partner with the union on employee training, development, and job shadowing to ensure technicians are fully trained and highly qualified. Coordinate mobilization to project site including personnel communications, equipment coordination, and travel planning. Conduct field site visits (as required) for safety audits, quality audits, performance audits and client relations.EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent required 5+ years of experience in NDT industry is required. 5+ years of experience with advanced services including PAUT, TOFD, UT-SW and other methods. Preferred experience in plastic fusion training.CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES REQUIRED
Ability to be certified in accordance withJANX SNT-TC-1A
in a Level II certification in UT, MT, and UTT. Ability to be certified in accordance withJANX SNT-TC-1A
in a Level II certification, industry certification or training certificate in UT-SW, Phased Array, and Corrosion Mapping. Must meet minimum company requirements to operate a company vehicle and be eligible for coverage under Company insurance programKNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
Thorough knowledge of industry codes. Thorough knowledge of Advanced NDT inspections such as UT-SW, Phased Array and field application of those methods, techniques and procedures. As applicable to the project and skill set, ability to set up both conventional and advanced NDT equipment, conducts tests, interpret and evaluate findings in compliance with required specifications, standards and or customer specifications.
