Job Description

POSITION PURPOSE
To contribute to the profitability of the retail operation by receiving, handling and helping manage the inventory of merchandise in a timely and organized manner. Help promote the brand image of both the product and the store. Increase employee efficiency by keeping the back area clean and organized at all times.
MAJOR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
Ensure all items purchased are properly labeled and priced. Add or remove items from inventory as needed following detailed procedures. Accurately track and document new and used inventories, utilizing inventory tools. Participate in preparing stores for and conducting periodic inventory audits and annual counts. Maintain a high level of back room/off-site organization so that items may be easily located. Follow the standards detailed in the Store Organization Standards (SOS) document. Process all defective returns by fully testing and verifying issues. Order replacement parts for items as needed. Identify items that are commonly being returned and assist Store Manager to add, change, and/or fully train employees on all testing procedures. Add functioning components from defective items to inventory using the POS system. Ensure all consoles and electronics have all their necessary components. Utilizing a POS system, pair necessary accessories with consoles and electronics and order replacement parts as needed. Stage incoming shipments, verifying all deliveries for accuracy, and add invoices to the POS system. Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, damaged items and delivery over/shortages. Report any discrepancies, theft, or suspected theft by employees or customers to the appropriate parties immediately. Develop proficiency in operating POS systems for all inventory related functions. Previously trained and able perform the responsibilities of Team Leader and Team Member. Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Prior retail experience preferred in similar product lines, but willing to train the right candidate. Previous retail replenishment experience preferred. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail is required. Ability to work well as a team member, accepts constructive feedback, and follows directions. Excellent time management and multi-tasking ability required. Excellent communication, self-management, and interpersonal skills.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time, up to 8 hours a day. Lifting up to 40 lbs. without assistance. May involve heavier lifting with assistance of team members or cart/dolly. Bending, rotating, and reaching conducive to a retail environment and to receiving, pricing and stocking merchandise. Exposure to typical retail environments and noise levels. Able to operate a computerized sales terminal.
Pay:
$14.00 - $15.00 per hour
