Your role:
Your responsibilities as a Fee Earning Business Manager will include: Be bold and curious - identify and pursue new business opportunities, push beyond the obvious, and experiment with fresh approaches to expand the client portfolio. Own the outcomes - establish and maintain long-term partnerships with clients, negotiate B2B contracts with integrity, and see initiatives through to delivery. Be better together - collaborate with the HAYS delivery team, share knowledge, and represent the organization at networking events to build stronger connections. Champion the customer - understand client needs, align solutions, and proactively drive value through cross-selling and strategic engagement. This position will lead our Construction team in New York. This will be a fee producing manager that partners with existing New York leaders to grow the New York business.
Responsibilities:
Typically, 3-15 headcount responsibility, still have personal fee responsibilities Proven track record in recruitment delivery, people development and management Ability to lead from the front, inspire and gain commitment to vision Excellent communication skills; able to influence and inspire Experience in setting, monitoring and reviewing goals and objectives Ability to operate at both a strategic and tactical level Required to be in the office with a day or two options to work from home Develop, implement and lead location growth strategies Runs quality 1:1 and team meetings (creating alignment /setting /reviewing /celebrating success) Provide strategic guidance (territory planning, business planning, etc..), working with 360, AM's or RL's to ensure that they have a targeted client portfolio and are developing these to ensure long term strategic relationships Drive "service delivery" mentality through managers and teams to ensure key success metrics are in place Support cross specialism collaboration and focus Remain current and aware of market trends, competitive landscape, industry information and best practices. Share knowledge and information appropriately. Effectively downstream key messaging and strategic responsibilities / activities Networking internally and externally. Participate in professional associations where relevant. Undertake RFP and Business Development activities Applies a range of management styles appropriate to situations Regularly engages the team in finding solutions to problems Follow up and inspect expectations within your teams (ensure implementation) Follow up on and leverage career reviews, PDPs, coaching and training to develop your direct reports Successfully roll out, implement and sustain change Able to attract, select and hire individuals that demonstrate capability and capacity for success; ensure hires align with Hays core values and match our culture. Takes ownership of underperformers and take appropriate actions to reform or release Build high functioning teams with a unified learning culture Retain our best performers and identify and train future leaders and actively reward and recognize contributions outside fees Identify and provide appropriate training to your direct reports and ensure this cascade through your team What you will get: We offer $78k base compensation plus a high percentage, uncapped commission plan.
