As part of our continued expansion across Northern California, we are seeking an experienced Tax Director to lead and grow our Bay Area tax practice. This high-impact leadership role will oversee tax strategy, client service, and team development across multiple Elevate partner firms, helping integrate and elevate capabilities within Elevate's broader national platform. This role is for our partner firms in the Bay Area. Key Responsibilities Lead and expand the Bay Area tax practice, with responsibility for growth, client service excellence, and leadership of multi-office teams. Deliver high-quality tax advisory and compliance services to entrepreneurial businesses, family offices, and high-net-worth individuals. Serve as a strategic tax advisor to clients on complex matters, including structuring, transactions, and planning opportunities. Collaborate with partner firms to unify processes, share best practices, and implement consistent quality and technology standards. Drive practice growth through expansion of services to existing clients and development of new business relationships across the Bay Area. Recruit, mentor, and inspire a high-performing team, fostering a collaborative, growth-oriented culture. Work closely with Elevate's leadership team and shared services functions to leverage data, AI tools, and operational innovation across the platform. Qualifications Active CPA license required. 10+ years of progressive experience in business taxation, ideally with a Big 4, large national, or top regional firm. Demonstrated success in leading client engagements and growing a tax practice. Strong technical expertise across corporate, partnership, and individual taxation. Excellent client relationship and communication skills. Proven leadership experience in developing, mentoring, and managing teams.
