Visit McKinney's next Executive Director is a destination marketing professional with a sales mindset and a creative edge. This leader knows how a convention and visitors bureau turns marketing into hotel stays, group business, and downtown foot traffic, and has the record to prove it: meetings won, partnerships built, and a community's story told well across every channel. Just as important is how this person leads. A servant leader who develops a small, talented team and lives the RISE values. With an amphitheater, a surf resort, a JW Marriott, and nonstop air service on the horizon, the ideal candidate sees a once-in-a-career opportunity and is ready to build ahead of it.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Business, or a related field Four years of progressively responsible experience in the convention, visitors, hospitality, or tourism field One year of supervisory experience with a proven ability to recruit, train, and develop staff Valid Class C Texas driver's license, or the ability to obtain one upon hire An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered Preferred Qualifications Certified Destination Management Executive (CDME) or Texas Destination Marketer (TDM) designation Senior leadership within a convention and visitors bureau or destination marketing organization Experience partnering with a board of directors on strategy, policy, and annual planning A track record in destination sales, group business, and brand-driven marketing campaigns Experience managing hotel occupancy tax budgets and public sector reporting Please email your cover letter and resume in PDF format to applymckinneycvb@clearcareerpro.com or Click HERE to apply today Faxed and mailed submissions will not be considered.
