• Nutrition Services Director Do you have a passion for solving food insecurity and making a positive impact in the lives of older adults and/or people with disabilities?

Does doing outreach to the communities, organizations, and clients in Windsor and Windham counties to serve more qualified seniors/disabled with food and transportation sound rewarding? If so, we have a rewarding career as our Nutrition Services Director available! A nutritious diet is the cornerstone to maintaining health and quality of life. Senior Solutions, the Area Agency on Aging serving 46 towns throughout southeastern Vermont, administers meal programs for seniors and those with disabilities in need through Meals on Wheels, congregate dining, adult day services sites throughout the region. These meals reach our most vulnerable, food- insecure clients. For many, it is their only meal of the day. As our Nutrition Services Director, you will : Plan, develop and implement community-based nutrition, and transportation services funded by Senior Solutions. Provide on-going technical assistance to local meal providers for quality assurance and conformance to State and Federal requirements. Negotiate, write, monitor, evaluate, and approve all nutrition-related and transportation contracts, including approval of payments within budget constraints. Oversee meal site menus in collaboration with contracted dieticians to ensure standards are followed. Keep records and track quarterly and annual statistics vital for state reporting and grants received. Research and write grants to support nutrition, transportation, and other related services. Establish new meal and transportation initiatives to meet the needs of the clients.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree required; prefer degree or experience in nutrition, public health, business management or human service administration. Strong computer skills in MS Office, particularly Excel, and willingness to learn agency specific programs necessary. Experience with accounting, finance, and budgeting required. Demonstrated experience with development and implementation of community projects. Valid driver's license and personal vehicle to do extensive on-the job travel

Salary Range:

$58,874 - $68,0000 depending on experience
