Grow the Business. Build the Future. Mercurio's is looking for an experienced, driven, and people-focused Plumbing & Electrical Manager to lead our Plumbing and Electrical departments. This is an exciting opportunity for a proven leader who knows the trades, understands what it takes to run successful service operations, and is passionate about developing great people. As the Plumbing & Electrical Manager, you'll play a critical role in shaping the future of these departments. You'll be responsible for leading technicians, driving operational excellence, improving customer experiences, and creating a culture where employees can build rewarding careers. What You'll Do Lead & Develop Your Team Lead, coach, and mentor Plumbing and Electrical technicians, apprentices, and support staff. Build a high-performing team focused on professionalism, accountability, teamwork, and customer service. Conduct regular one-on-ones, performance reviews, ride-alongs, and coaching sessions. Identify training and development opportunities to help team members advance their careers. Develop future leaders and create clear career paths within the departments. Foster a positive culture where employees feel valued, supported, and motivated to succeed. Drive Department Performance Oversee the daily operations of the Plumbing and Electrical departments. Establish and monitor department goals, KPIs, revenue targets, profitability, and productivity. Analyze performance data and identify opportunities for improvement. Ensure technicians have the tools, equipment, training, and resources needed to succeed. Work closely with Dispatch, Customer Service, Sales, and other departments to maximize efficiency. Help develop staffing plans and participate in recruiting, interviewing, and hiring top talent. Ensure company policies, procedures, safety standards, and industry regulations are followed. Deliver an Exceptional Customer Experience Ensure every customer receives a professional, high-quality experience. Support technicians with challenging service calls, customer concerns, and technical issues. Help establish consistent service standards across both departments. Review customer feedback and identify opportunities to improve the customer journey. Promote a culture focused on doing the job right and earning customer trust. Technical & Operational Excellence Provide technical guidance and support to Plumbing and Electrical teams when needed. Stay current on industry trends, technology, codes, products, and best practices. Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to company standards. Assist with developing and maintaining department processes and standard operating procedures. Monitor inventory, vehicles, tools, and equipment to ensure technicians are properly equipped. Partner with leadership on pricing, product offerings, service processes, and business initiatives. The ideal candidate will have:
Significant experience in Plumbing and/or Electrical service. Previous management, supervisory, or leadership experience. Strong understanding of residential service operations. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proven ability to coach, motivate, and hold employees accountable. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Experience managing department performance and financial goals. A customer-first mindset. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment. Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record. Knowledge of applicable local and state codes, regulations, and safety requirements. What Makes You Successful in This Role?
