Job Description

As the Dispatcher at The Yard Experts, you run our field operation from the board. Every route, every crew assignment, and every schedule change flows through you. We are a fast-growing residential landscape maintenance company with 8 crews and 950+ recurring clients across the East Valley (Queen Creek, San Tan Valley, Gilbert, Chandler, and Mesa), and we compete on quality, not price.
Our values are simple:
Honesty with Kindness, Integrity in All We Do, and We Keep Things SIMPLE. You are also the bridge between two languages. Our clients and office team work in English. Most of our crew leads work in Spanish. You will use both all day, every day. No dispatch experience is required. We pay you to train, starting with a structured two-week curriculum, and you will work directly with the owners. This is an on-site position at our office in Queen Creek, AZ.
Hours follow our crews:
summer 6:00 AM to 4:00 PM, winter 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday with occasional Saturdays. What You Do Build the next day's routes every afternoon: cluster jobs by area, balance hours across crews, match jobs to the right crew and equipment, and sequence the stops so nobody crisscrosses the East Valley. Run the board during the day: track crew status and job progress, handle same-day changes, and fit in new requests without bumping a client who is already scheduled. Be the first call for crew leads (in Spanish). Answer fast, listen first, decide second, and confirm they understood the plan. Take care of clients (in English): confirm visits, make proactive calls when a crew is running late, and handle upset callers by hearing them out before solving. Log everything in Aspire the same day: notes, schedule changes, ETAs, and incidents, documented in English no matter which language the conversation happened in. Revise job estimates when the scope changes on site, and pass upsell opportunities crews spot to the sales team. Re-route and reschedule when weather hits, and coordinate the response when something goes wrong on a property. Hit the dispatch
KPIs:
crew calls answered within 5 minutes, client calls within 15, documentation done the same day. Work closely with the owners, CSRs, and sales team to keep the day moving, and help with other tasks as needed. Flexibility matters in a growing company. What You Bring Fluent spoken English and Spanish, and the ability to switch between them all day. This is a hard requirement. Clear, simple, direct communication. You confirm that people understood you instead of assuming.
The ability to ruthlessly prioritize:
crews first, then clients, everything written down, nothing living in your head. Calm under pressure. Frustrated crew lead or upset client, you do not match their energy. Good judgment with routes and capacity, and the instinct to escalate when something is above your pay grade. Ownership. You admit mistakes, fix them, and build a check so they do not repeat. Comfort with technology and a willingness to learn new systems quickly. You will learn Aspire, RingCentral, and Google Workspace. Reliable transportation to Queen Creek for early summer starts. Experience dispatching, scheduling, routing, or coordinating people under time pressure is helpful but not required. Landscaping or trades experience is a plus. Key Attributes for Success Bilingual, and comfortable being the person both sides rely on. Organized and decisive when everything hits at once. Concise and clear on the phone, by text, and in your notes. Simple over complicated. Ambitious, and looking to grow with a team that is growing fast. Compensation and Perks $22 to $24 per hour, based on experience Paid weekly Overtime available Paid training from day one Paid sick time A small, ambitious team where you work directly with the owners and your work is visible every single day
