The ideal candidate will efficiently manage drivers' movements Aswell as handle all customers and phone calls this dispatcher roll requires you to communicate effectively with drivers, clients, and internal teams. This role is essential in ensuring timely deliveries, optimizing fleet utilization, and maintaining seamless pick up and drop off processes.
CLEAN BACKGROUND REQUIRED
Responsibilities Coordinate and schedule vehicle pick up using transportation management systems such as Towbook. Monitor real-time vehicle locations via GPS to ensure on-time deliveries and adjust routes as necessary. Communicate with drivers, clients, and internal teams through multi-line phone systems, maintaining professional phone etiquette and clear communication skills. Manage dispatching tasks related to local police departments calls as well as COD calls. Utilize analysis skills to optimize transportation planning, route efficiency, and resource allocation. Enter data accurately into systems like Google excel And tow-book as well as paper documents for maintaining records. Oversee Drivers movements, including tow schedules, delivery confirmations, and documentation compliance. Assist in troubleshooting Tow or driver issues promptly to minimize delays or disruptions in operations. Maintain organized records of dispatch activities, vehicle logs, and all work done for the day reporting purposes. This is a weekend position Thursday-Sunday 8am-5pm Qualifications Proven experience with transportation management systems such as Towbook and google excel. Strong knowledge of GPS technology, logistics principles, and tow operations. Familiarity with tow management, fleet management GPS samsara. Excellent analysis skills for transportation planning and problem-solving within a fast-paced environment. Proficient in data entry with high accuracy; experience with Towbook is a plus. Strong communication skills coupled with professional phone etiquette for multi-line phone systems. Ability to multitask efficiently while managing multiple priorities under tight deadlines. Basic typing skills for quick data entry; knowledge of transportation planning tools is preferred. This role offers an opportunity to contribute significantly to our Tow operations by ensuring efficient driver dispatching and fleet coordination through advanced technology platforms and effective communication practices.
Pay:
$17.00 - $25.00 per hour
