Pay Rate:
$26.72/hour Position Summary This role serves as the central coordination point for a team of 20 drivers (CDL and Box Truck) within a unionized manufacturing environment. Unlike high-volume logistics operations, this position supports a moderate, steady delivery schedule with a focus on consistency, service, and compliance rather than continuous high-volume dispatching. The Dispatcher plans daily routes, assigns loads, tracks shipments, and supports drivers to ensure reliable, on-time deliveries. This role is well-suited for someone who values a structured environment, predictable workflow, and strong team collaboration.
Key Responsibilities Driver Scheduling & Routing:
Plan and assign daily routes and deliveries based on business needs and driver availability
Load Coordination:
Schedule and manage outbound deliveries; limited broker negotiation compared to high-volume logistics environments
Driver Support & Communication:
Maintain regular communication with drivers regarding schedules, delays, and route adjustments
Tracking & Issue Resolution:
Monitor shipments and proactively address delays, breakdowns, or service issues
Compliance & Safety:
Support DOT compliance, including HOS tracking and log review
Documentation:
Maintain accurate shipment records, bills of lading, and related documentation Minimum Qualifications Experience in dispatch, transportation coordination, or logistics support preferred Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with GPS/ELD systems a plus Strong organizational and communication skills What to Expect in This Role Moderate dispatch volume (not a high-volume brokerage environment) Stable, team-oriented setting within a manufacturing operation Focus on coordination, communication, and reliability over sales or load chasing This role does not involve commission-based load brokerage or high-frequency dispatching #LI-DNP Tempur Sealy is proud to be an Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action employer.
