In this vital role, you will coordinate the efficient movement of freight and vehicles, ensuring timely deliveries and pickups across various locations. Your proactive communication skills and attention to detail will keep our supply chain running smoothly, supporting our commitment to exceptional customer service. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be at the heart of transportation operations, utilizing advanced dispatching tools and systems to optimize routes and manage fleet activities. Duties Proficient in Final Mile delivery operations, scheduling, and coordination. Communicate effectively with drivers, customers, vendors, and internal teams via multi-line phone systems and internal communication platforms Monitor GPS and GIS (Geographic Information Systems) data to track vehicle locations, analyze routes, and make real-time adjustments for efficiency Manage freight shipments, shipping & receiving processes, and ensure compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations Maintain accurate data entry records related to dispatch activities, vehicle logs, and delivery statuses using Microsoft Office tools. Handle phone call management with professionalism, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette while addressing inquiries or resolving issues related to transportation or freight Support logistics planning by analyzing transportation data, identifying opportunities for improvement in road transportation operations, and assisting with supply chain coordination Ensure adherence to safety standards, vehicle maintenance schedules, and fleet management protocols for smooth vehicle dispatching Qualifications Proven experience in dispatching within a logistics or transportation environment, with familiarity in road transportation operations and fleet management Strong knowledge of transportation management systems (TMS), vehicle dispatch software, Oracle Transportation Management or similar platforms Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) for data entry, reporting, and communication purposes Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting Strong analysis skills for route optimization, freight planning, and problem-solving within logistics workflows Effective communication skills—both verbal and written—with a professional phone etiquette when managing multi-line phone systems Knowledge of GPS technology, GIS mapping tools, DOT regulations, shipping & receiving procedures, and freight handling standards Ability to work independently while maintaining clear internal communication across teams High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in supply chain or transportation planning are a plus Join us as a Dispatcher and become a key player in delivering seamless logistics solutions!
