Job Description
Job Summary Truck Dispatch Coordinator Coordinate and manage the schedules of truck drivers to ensure cargo shipments are picked up and delivered in a timely manner. Maintain contact with the fleet of truck drivers to arrange pickups and deliveries on behalf of clients. Prioritize pickups and deliveries based on delivery times. Enter orders and schedule in collaboration with operations agents. Verify delivered shipments and examine shipping documents for accuracy and possible discrepancies. Review agents' rate, approve and notify of accessorial charges. Collaborate with management to modify daily routes to accommodate the needs of customers. Cultivate strong relationships with agents and customers to reduce the stress that comes with last minute schedule changes. Respond to queries related to pickups and deliveries, via phone and email. Address problems and requests by transmitting information or providing solutions.
