Job Description

Our fleet of trucks and highly trained operators are always ready to assist, ensuring prompt and reliable roadside assistance whenever you need it. Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Tow Truck Dispatcher - Central Dispatch to coordinate the efficient deployment of tow trucks and recovery services. In this vital role, you will manage incoming calls, assign jobs using advanced transportation management systems, and communicate clearly with drivers and customers to deliver exceptional service. Your proactive approach will keep our operations running smoothly around the clock. Duties Answer multi-line phone systems promptly, providing excellent phone etiquette and communication skills. Dispatch tow trucks efficiently using
GPS, GIS
(Geographic Information Systems), and transportation management software (Towbook) Coordinate with drivers to ensure timely pickups and drop-offs, maintaining accurate data entry in dispatch logs. Monitor fleet management systems to track vehicle locations via GPS and optimize routing for speed and safety. Communicate clearly with customers, drivers, and emergency responders, providing updates and handling inquiries professionally. Maintain detailed records of dispatch activities, including inbound/outbound logs, incident reports, and service documentation. Support shipping & receiving operations related to freight movement when necessary, ensuring seamless logistics flow. Experience Proven experience in dispatching within transportation management or logistics environments. Familiarity with
GIS, GPS
technology, transportation planning, and supply chain operations. Strong analysis skills to troubleshoot routing issues or delays proactively. Experience with transportation management systems such asTowbook Excellent communication skills coupled with phone etiquette proficiency for engaging with diverse stakeholders. Ability to perform data entry accurately using multi-line phone systems, SyteLine, or similar platforms. Knowledge of freight coordination, fleet management practices, shipping & receiving procedures, and 3PL (third-party logistics) operations is a plus.
