DPS Dispatcher Part-Time Soboba Band of Luiseno Indians - 3.7 San Jacinto, CA Job Details Part-time 18 hours ago Qualifications High school diploma or GED Records management Law enforcement software Data protection regulation compliance Incident report writing Full Job Description SUMMARY Under the supervision of the Director of Public Safety the dispatcher is required to regularly perform skilled duties in the operation of the Soboba Security Dispatch Center which includes; taking telephone calls for security services and emergencies. Dispatching security personnel or making notifications to outside law enforcement or emergency agencies for assistance.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Although other duties may be assigned, the essential duties include the following: Maintain daily activity reports Prepare narrative and incident reports as required and in accordance with established directives. Maintain efficient and accurate receipt and response to intrusion detection alarms and operation of video surveillance systems. Enter information into Security Management Software programs. Complete analyses of data and prepare reports for the Soboba Administration and the Security Department as directed. Maintain proficiency is the use of all communication and electronic equipment within the dispatch center and maintain accurate records of events and calls. Report deficiencies and make recommendations to immediate supervisor for improvements of the dispatch center. Capable of working on flexible schedules which may include some holidays and weekends. Appearance Standards shall be in accordance with Security Department Policy (neat, clean) Maintain a positive attitude at all times. Prepare written reports that are accurate, clear, concise and legible as required. Interact with all Tribal departments and outside agencies as required. Dispatch security personnel quickly to emergency and non-emergency situations. Maintain an attitude of cooperation with all Tribal members, employees, vendors, contractors, guests or other persons who contact the dispatch center. Maintain a thorough knowledge of all Rules, Regulations, Policies, Procedures, Directives, General Orders, and other documents as they relate to security duties and responsibilities of dispatch personnel.
EDUCATION
High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent with at least 12 units of college completed.
EXPERIENCE
Prior dispatch experience preferred; POST Certified desirable.
QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge of the English Language and ability to pronounce words and sentencing clearly. Maintain proficiency in all radio codes established by the Security Department. Must be able to follow oral and written instructions Able to communicate orally and effectively. Must possess written skills for preparing various documents required by security personnel. Answer telephones and accurately maintain data for all alarm and access control systems. Maintain accurate records and information for all dispatches and incidents using provided security management software. Ensure all equipment installed and in use in the Dispatch center are functioning as intended by the manufacturer/integrator. Analyze data and complete reports as directed by the Director of Security. Maintain strict privacy compliance for all data maintained by the Dispatch Center. Provide superior customer service skills. Able to work with supervision and/or independently Able to organize workload in order to meet deadlines. Maintain professional attitude and loyalty to the Soboba Band of Luiseno Indians.
REQUIRED
