Job Description
Dispatcher San Rafael, CA Apply Now Dispatcher Transdev in San Rafael, CA is hiring a Dispatcher. The Dispatcher directs the safe and timely movement of revenue service vehicles and operators. Monitors on-time performance and trip productivity, rescheduling trips as necessary to maintain system performance goals. Reviews and validates accurate operator timekeeping. Verifies and posts corrections to arrival and departure times, service type, fare type and amount to be collected, and other data points as directed. Provide riders with imminent vehicle arrival reminder calls, "where's my ride" information, same-day trip cancellations and same-day reservation bookings when available. Under supervision, assists in developing transit schedules, operator work run assignments, and related documents. We are seeking customer service-oriented professionals who are dedicated to safety.

Vacation:
One (1) week during first year of employment up to four (4) weeks per year after ten (10) years.Sick days:

- Follows general policies, procedures and practices in compliance with federal, state, local and company rules and regulations.
- Manage daily service by reviewing route performance and proactively responding to situations that impact customer service.
- Oversee contracted service standards by tracking trip performance measures, route begin on time, performance, incidents, etc.
- Responds, records and resolves customer feedback via multiple channels.
- Assists with the preparation of daily schedules and workflow related to daily scheduling.
- Monitor and correct as needed operator punch times in timekeeping system, ensuring compliance with Wage Order 9.
- Communicates and coordinates with internal departments to help meet customer needs.
- Performs audits as scheduled that meet Transdev's policies and procedures.
- Serves as an emergency contact for drivers in the field. Manage emergency situations for vehicle operators, acting as liaison with emergency services.
- Coordinates communications between drivers and other supervisory personnel.
- Coordinates with municipal, county and other agencies in emergency situations or in traffic-routing problems, detours, enhanced service requirements.
- Provide customer support by responding to questions and concerns regarding customer trips including no shows, cancellations and missed trips.
- Other duties as required.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent, such as GED, required.
- Minimum of one year of dispatch operations experience within the transportation industry.
- Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills with ability to adapt to changing situations and listen to feedback.
- A customer service-oriented mentality with attention to detail.
- Problem solving and analytical skills.
- Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.
- Punctual with an emphasis on attendance.
- Utilize computer software, proficient computer skills.
- Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason.
- Must be able to pass a Background Check.
Physical Requirements:
The essential functions of this position require the ability to:- 100% of work is accomplished indoors and in air conditioned or well ventilated facilities.
- Sit for extended periods (up to 6-8 hours per day); long periods spent typing or looking at a computer screen.
- Push and pull objects up to 25 lbs.
