Transit Dispatcher

Job Description

Direct fixed-route and para-transit bus drivers, assign routes and equipment, and keep Summit Stage transit system operational at all times. Please refer to the job description for a complete listing of position duties. High School diploma plus minimum three years' experience in public transit. Have extensive knowledge of the Summit Stage transit system. General knowledge of transit vehicle maintenance issues. Some computer knowledge, including MS Office, is required. Professional and friendly customer service personality. Candidates must pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening and DOT medical certification as required by the US Department of Transportation. Must have the physical ability to safely operate a transit bus. Will be required to pass the Summit Stage Driver Training program. Must be able to work independently and be willing to work shifts that vary from day to night, weekdays and weekends.
LICENSES OR CERTIFICATES
Must pass the Summit Stage driver training program. Class B CDL with passenger endorsement and no restrictions on air brakes required for duration of employment.
