DATTCO has an opening for a full-time Dispatcher (Split Shift) at our School Bus location in Bristol, CT. DATTCO is the largest private passenger transportation company in New England with 1,900 vehicles operating from over 30 locations. DATTCO is a third-generation, family-owned company, and we began providing school bus transportation in 1949. We currently service 30 school districts and Region Primary Responsibilities Responsible for scheduling drivers and effectively dispatching fixed route service and charters Assist drivers with directions and customer itineraries Answer routine phone calls from drivers and customers Clerical, filing and reporting duties Daily use of Outlook, Excel and Microsoft 365 suite Daily use of mapping and scheduling programs such as Map Point, Google Maps, etc. Position Requirements High school diploma or equivalent Strong oral and written communication skills Work well in a fast-paced environment Split shift hours based on business needs (TBD 5am-9am & 12:45pm-4:45pm) the ideal candidate will be able to work morning and afternoons with the understanding that this schedule needs to be flexible based on school ½ days, etc. Strongly Preferred CDL Class B with P and S endorsements 2 + years' experience working in the transportation industry 2+ years' experience working in customer service Qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability, protected veteran status and any other protected classes.
