10/14/2026 4:30 PM Dispatch for combined Police, Fire, and EMS Public Safety Dispatch Center. Receives telephone calls for police, fire, and emergency medical service using the 9-1-1 system, and dispatches emergency responders using radio. Provides general information and assistance to callers and others. Uses multiple computer systems to input and retrieve National Crime Information System and Motor Vehicle System information. Performs incidental duties connected with department operations. Shift work including evenings, midnights, weekends and holidays is required. Reports directly to the Communications Supervisor and receives general operational supervision from the Police Shift Commander. Requires High School degree plus having the ability to pass training program and achieve required certifications including Public Safety Telecommunicator certification, NCIC/COLLECT operator certification and Emergency Medical Dispatch certification. Must pass a background check. Good communications skills are needed.Salary Range:
