Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities Coordinate and assign delivery routes to drivers to ensure timely and efficient service. Monitor routes and delivery progress throughout the day using dispatch and tracking systems. Communicate continuously with drivers to provide updates, resolve issues, and adjust routes as needed. Work closely with the Customer Service team to provide real time delivery updates and resolve service concerns. Respond to service disruptions, delays, or route changes with quick decision making and problem resolution. Document and track delivery activity, exceptions, and service issues within dispatch and ticketing systems. Ensure all routes are properly covered and make staffing or routing adjustments as needed. Maintain clear communication with management regarding operational challenges and daily performance. Assist with reporting, administrative tasks, and operational support to ensure continuity of service. Knowledge and Experience 13 years of experience in dispatching, transportation, logistics, or a fast paced operational environment. Strong decision making, problem solving, and multitasking skills. Ability to remain calm and organized in a high pressure, time sensitive environment. Excellent communication skills when working with drivers, customer service, and management. Comfortable working within multiple dispatch and tracking software systems. Strong attention to detail and ability to manage changing priorities throughout the day. Team oriented mindset with a proactive approach to operational challenges.
