Lauderdale is seeking dependable, detail-oriented Dispatchers to join our fast-paced marine operations team. Dispatchers play a critical role in coordinating towing and salvage responses, communicating with customers and captains, and helping ensure efficient 24-hour operations. The ideal candidate is organized, calm under pressure, computer literate, and capable of managing multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of customer service. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Receive and process incoming service requests. Dispatch towboats and coordinate vessel movements. Communicate with customers, captains, marinas, and law enforcement. Monitor and communicate via telephone, text, email, and VHF radio. Enter and maintain accurate operational records and service information. Assist with invoice preparation and operational paperwork. Monitor weather conditions and vessel activity. Track ongoing service calls and provide status updates. Support emergency and after-hours marine response operations. Maintain positive attitude, professionalism and composure during high-volume periods. Perform additional administrative and operational duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Strong computer skills and ability to learn proprietary software systems. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail. Ability to remain calm and make communicate clearly under pressure. Valid Driver's License and Reliable transportation. Ability to work weekends, holidays, evenings, and overnight shifts as scheduled. Preferred Qualifications Previous dispatch, customer service, emergency services, transportation, or call center experience. Knowledge of boating, local waterways, and marine terminology. Experience using VHF radios or marine communication equipment. Training Approximately six-week training period. Training schedule may vary and include multiple shifts to provide exposure to all operational functions. Physical Requirements Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods. Ability to communicate clearly by telephone and radio. Ability to lift office supplies and equipment.
