Job Description
We are looking for a Dispatcher to support daily scheduling and communication activities for a busy operation. This contract position has the potential to become permanent and is ideal for someone who can manage incoming calls, coordinate service activity efficiently, and provide a high level of customer support in a fast-paced environment. The right candidate will be organized, responsive, and comfortable using dispatch technology to keep teams informed and assignments on track.
Responsibilities:
- Manage inbound calls and service requests, gathering key details and prioritizing needs accurately.
- Assign work to drivers or field personnel based on availability, location, and operational urgency.
- Monitor schedules throughout the day and adjust assignments to maintain timely service and coverage.
- Communicate clearly with customers, team members, and supervisors regarding job status, delays, and updates.
- Use computer-aided dispatch tools to enter information, track activity, and maintain accurate records.
- Coordinate logistics to support efficient routing, resource allocation, and completion of daily assignments.
- Resolve routine service issues by identifying practical solutions and escalating urgent concerns when needed.
