Job Description

The Dispatch Operator dispatches appropriate ambulance and NET unit based on call information provided. The Dispatch Operator works 12 hour shifts on a rotating schedule.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Effectively prioritize incoming ambulance and NET call requests Operate multiple incoming cellular and land telephone lines Use CAD System to dispatch ambulances and NET units Monitor the movement and availability of ambulance and NET units Communicate clearly and effectively with all Field & Operations personnel Accurately document all conversation details related to calls, dispatches, and messages Troubleshoots mechanical/situational problems Contact Dispatch Supervisor, COO, and Fleet Manager as appropriate. Perform accurate basic data entry Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This job has no supervisory responsibilities. High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required EMS, Dispatcher and/or CAD experience is preferred Ability to multitask and make quick decisions in a busy work environment General knowledge of cities and locations of highways within Georgia Experience in customer service and answering multiple phone lines simultaneously
