ANNOUNCEMENT
Southwestern Illinois College is accepting applications for the SWIC part-time, grant-funded position of ATS Dispatcher. These positions are covered under the agreement between the College and Local 6600 IFT/AFT, AFL/CIO. Your application will be placed in a pool for review as positions become available.
POSITION DESCRIPTION
In accordance with the Mission and Values of Southwestern Illinois College, this is a part-time position funded by external funds. The work requires the use of judgment and discretion. Duties include scheduling the efficient utilization of vehicles and drivers that meet customer requirements; assisting drivers in reading and interpreting maps and driving directions; interfacing with staff to develop customer requirements; maintaining accurate records on customer trips and performing a variety of clerical functions that support the ATS program. This position is contingent upon external funds.
QUALIFICATIONS A
minimum of two (2) years of experience driving or dispatching in the transportation industry. High school diploma or GED required. Ability to meet and maintain the physical, drug and alcohol testing requirements per ATS and SWIC guidelines.
STARTING PAY AND HOURS
$22.54 per hour, up to 28 hours per week.
