Job Description

TEMP-TO-HIRE POSITION
This position will initially be offered as a temporary/contract role for approximately 3 months, with the potential to transition into a permanent position based on company needs and available business opportunities. Permanent employment is not guaranteed and will depend on the company's staffing needs at the end of the temporary period.
Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Account Manager to support daily delivery operations. This role is responsible for driver check-in, real-time problem solving, performance accountability, and ensuring strict adherence to customer Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, communicates clearly, and can make quick, sound decisions under pressure.
Key Responsibilities:
Check in drivers at the start and end of shifts to ensure readiness, documentation compliance, and route accuracy Monitor daily operations and proactively identify potential service disruptions Provide immediate solutions to urgent delivery issues (delays, route changes, customer concerns, equipment problems, etc.) Communicate effectively with drivers to resolve challenges in real time Hold drivers accountable for performance expectations, including timeliness, professionalism, and compliance with company standards Ensure drivers follow all customer-specific SOPs and delivery requirements Track and document operational issues, performance trends, and corrective actions Coordinate with customers and internal teams to maintain service quality and resolve escalations Support continuous improvement in operational efficiency and customer satisfaction
Compensation & Incentives:
Competitive base compensation Quarterly performance bonus based on overall company profitability and operational performance Bonus eligibility tied to meeting company financial goals, service quality standards, and operational metrics Additional incentive opportunities may be available based on performance
Qualifications:
Strong organizational and multitasking skills Excellent problem-solving ability Clear and professional communication skills Ability to remain calm and decisive in high-pressure situations Experience in logistics, dispatch, transportation, or operations preferred Leadership experience is a plus

Pay:
$60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
