Dispatcher Job Description Overview Schedule:
Monday- Friday; 8:00am- 2:00pm
Location:
Command Center at
IU Health Bloomington RAHC Responsibilities:
Receives and communicates requests (dispatching) and establishing priorities in order to dispatch internal and external personnel to specific destinations in an organized and timely fashion. In addition to answering telephone calls, service requests, takes accurate messages or transfers calls to appropriate individuals with a friendly voice and a sense of urgency. Communicates pending workload, staffing concerns, change and status with other dispatchers and other pertinent information to subsequent shift personnel. Customer requests are perceived as opportunities to help and requests are either handled or solutions are suggested.
Qualifications:
1-3 years of experience dispatching in a healthcare maintenance environment or comparable experience required. High School Diploma/GED required. Associates Degree preferred.
