The Assistant Director of Dispatch is responsible for assisting the Director of Dispatch with the day-to-day management of the dispatch functions within the County.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Duties include, but are not limited to: 1. Performs all duties of a Dispatcher. 2. Assists the Director of Dispatch in maintaining all records and completed training required for the National Crime Information Center (NCIC), the Indiana Data and Communications System (IDACS), the National Incident Management System (NIMS), and for state and federal audits to include: sex offender registry, warrants, protective orders, criminal histories, license checks and driver histories. 3. Assists the Director of Dispatch in the preparation of the annual budget for dispatch. 4.Completes administrative duties to include:
attending meetings, reviewing reports, completing various reports, approving departmental payroll, approving invoices, answering inquiries etc., as needed. 5. Maintains an effective communication process with the Sheriff. 6. Completes any additional tasks as assigned by the Sheriff, or his or her designee 11.Completes administrative duties to include:

Supervises Dispatchers in the Sheriff's Office. Employee carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; scheduling and approving time worked; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.Qualifications:
