Job Description
Overview Join our facilities maintenance team as a Maintenance Clerk, where your expertise will keep our operations running smoothly and efficiently. The Maintenance Clerk oversees the clerical and administrative functions of the Maintenance Department. This position supports the department by facilitating communications, managing documentation, maintaining accurate records, and tracking key performance indicators, including equipment uptime, and work order competition. The Maintenance Clerk works closely with maintenance supervisors and various departmental leaders to ensure maintenance activities are properly documented, schedule and communicated. Responsibilities Performs duties and responsibilities as directed by the supervisor. Develops, maintains, and continuously improves the Maintenance Department's Preventative Maintenance Program. Assists maintenance supervision with scheduling routine maintenance and repairs for equipment and facilities. Maintains accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders and preventative maintenance. Communicate emergency work order requests from staff to maintenance supervisors. Prepares reports on maintenance activities and provides daily electronic updates to departmental supervisors and assigned plant management. Supports effective communication and coordination between the Maintenance Department and other departments. Assists with tracking maintenance performance indicators, including equipment uptime and work order completion. Required Skills & Knowledge To excel as Maintenance Clerk, and individual should possess a combination of technical, organizational, and interpersonal skills necessary to effectively manage maintenance records and support facility operations. Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively. Proficiency with Maintenance Software and databases, such as CMMS, as well as Microsoft Office applications. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage work orders, records, and schedules. Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with team members, supervisors, vendors & other departments. Strong attention to details to ensure accurate and timely recordkeeping. Basic knowledge of maintenance processes, equipment and procedures. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to address maintenance - related issues promptly. Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively as part of a team. Strong teamwork and collaboration skills when working with maintenance personnel and other departments. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive departmental information appropriately. Pay:
